May 2010 — FST21 and MyBuilding.org announced a strategic relationship that will modernize the way residents of high rise buildings enter into and interact with their homes.
Together, FST21 and MyBuilding.org will provide customers with an integrated automated solution that will improve operations, enhance the lifestyle of residents and increase security.
FST21’s identity management system, SafeRise® offers a secure, convenient and reliable way to let the right people in and keep the wrong people out. It is a preventive and intelligent controlled access solution for residential high rises, town houses and affordable living projects that allows simple and convenient entry to residents and visitors without the use of a key or a code.
The state-of-the-art intelligent building technology combines biometrics, using fusion of facial, voice and behavioral recognition to verify a user’s identity and determine whether or not the individual is permitted access. It complements doormen or it provides a complete solution for buildings that do not use doormen.
Residents simply look at the camera at the building entrance and the door will open. If for some reason SafeRise doesn’t recognize a resident’s face and behavior (if they forget to look at the camera for instance) the system's intercom will ask for their name and apartment number. Matching the voice in the database with the resident will open the door.
SafeRise will connect residents, visitors, deliveries, pickups and maintenance to a representative from a 24/7 monitoring center for further assistance if needed.
MyBuilding.org is an online service for residential properties that offers a suite of tools to streamline traditional property management activities through a simple and modern online based service.
In addition to reducing the cost of traditional property management operations, MyBuilding.org provides residents with a private, amenity-rich web portal that includes engaging, community-building features and continuously updated information about their property, community and neighborhood.
The value added partnership adds the ability for residents to register guests, receive messages and track packages through the MyBuilding.org web portal. The collaboration will see both companies promoting each other’s products and services.
